Trader consensus on NYC's September 9 high centers on the 84-85°F range at 36% implied probability, reflecting the latest National Weather Service ensemble forecasts and model consensus that place peak temperatures in the mid-80s under building high pressure and light southerly flow. Recent runs show modest spread due to variable cloud cover and boundary-layer moisture, with 82-83°F and 86-87°F bins capturing the remaining uncertainty in afternoon heating rates. Historical September baselines for the region average near 80°F, but current guidance indicates above-normal warmth from a stable air mass. Final resolution will hinge on official Central Park observations, with updated model guidance expected overnight before the daily maximum is recorded.
