Recent forecasts from models and AEMET guidance indicate a peak near 28°C for Madrid on September 10, driven by clear to partly cloudy skies, light southerly winds, and strong solar insolation under a stable high-pressure pattern typical of late summer in the region’s continental Mediterranean climate. Afternoon temperatures are expected to climb from morning lows near 14–16°C, with low humidity and minimal cloud cover allowing efficient surface heating; however, minor variations in exact cloud timing or station-specific readings at sites like Retiro Park could shift the daily maximum between 27°C and 28°C. Historical September averages near 27.8°C provide context, while the absence of precipitation or stronger winds supports the tight market spread between these two outcomes.
