Forecast models from agencies like the South African Weather Service and GFS consensus indicate a clear overnight minimum near 14–16°C for Cape Town on September 21 under light southeast winds and high pressure, with the daily low expected early morning before daytime warming to 24–26°C. This places the outcome near the upper end of typical spring variability, where the Benguela Current and Table Mountain topography can create localized cooling or warming pockets of 1–2°C. Trader sentiment clusters around 12–14°C because historical September minima average near 10°C yet recent weeks have trended warmer, and small shifts in wind or cloud cover could alter the recorded low at official stations. Upcoming hourly observations and model updates will resolve remaining uncertainty in the precise threshold.
