In the Abidjan 1 Challenger second-round clash on outdoor hard courts, higher-ranked Paul Jubb (ATP 280) enters as the experienced favorite against 18-year-old Moroccan Karim Bennani (ATP 575), who is chasing his first Challenger quarterfinal. Jubb grinded a three-set comeback win over Aziz Dougaz (2-6, 7-6(4), 6-3) in the opener amid humid conditions, showcasing resilience after trailing 2-5 in the second. Bennani advanced more comfortably when qualifier Maximilian Neuchrist retired at 4-3 in the first set. With no head-to-head history, traders weigh Jubb's superior rankings, recent Challenger results, and two-handed backhand prowess against Bennani's rising form, youth, and regional support; potential fatigue from Jubb's marathon opener could factor in this evenly matched encounter.
