Both players enter with modest 2026 records—Muller at 4-10 and Shevchenko at 8-11—after uneven results on the tour. Muller holds a 2-0 head-to-head edge, with both victories coming on clay, including a straight-sets win at the 2023 Sanremo Challenger.
