Lukas Neumayer enters the Croatia Open qualifying draw as the No. 2 seed with a clear ranking edge (ATP 167, career-high 157) and strong recent clay form, including a Trieste Challenger win and titles at Vicenza and other events in 2026. The Austrian right-hander has shown consistent results on the surface ahead of the Umag event. Mili Poljicak, a Croatian player ranked outside the top 250, brings local familiarity but limited ATP-level experience and fewer recent wins against comparable opposition. The match on outdoor clay at Studenac Arena highlights Neumayer’s superior baseline consistency and movement versus Poljicak’s need for an upset in the opening qualifying round.
