Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus indicate Dallas highs near 98–100°F on September 6 under persistent high pressure, southerly flow, and mostly sunny skies with light winds. These conditions favor strong daytime heating above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 92.5°F, with heat indices potentially reaching 105°F due to humidity. Recent days have seen similar upper-90s to low-100s readings as a weakening tropical system brought minimal relief. Market-implied odds cluster on 98–99°F and 100–101°F because official guidance and ensemble runs show little deviation from this narrow band, though small forecast adjustments in dew points or cloud cover could shift the exact maximum within the favored range ahead of resolution.
