Persistent monsoon-driven cloud cover and frequent thunderstorms are suppressing daytime heating in Manila ahead of September 6, with official PAGASA guidance and multiple models projecting a maximum of 28–29°C under mostly overcast skies and high rain chances. This aligns with the current rainy-season pattern that reduces insolation compared to September climatological highs near 31°C. Short-range forecast consistency supports the market’s emphasis on 29–31°C outcomes, though minor shifts in steering flow or convective timing could allow brief clearing and a spike toward 32°C or keep readings capped at 28°C. Updated model runs and PAGASA briefings over the next 48 hours remain the key variables for traders.
