Recent official forecasts from the China Meteorological Administration and ensemble models show a synoptic shift on September 7, with northeast winds, increasing cloud cover, and light rain moderating Beijing’s daytime maximum from recent 31–34°C readings. This pattern favors a peak near 28–30°C, consistent with the market’s tight clustering around those outcomes and the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 27.9°C. Key variables include exact rain timing, which can enhance evaporative cooling, and model spread in boundary-layer moisture; later updates from the National Meteorological Center will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
