Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and major models points to a high near 94–95°F for Houston on September 16, driven by persistent subtropical ridging, southeasterly flow, and strong September insolation under partly cloudy skies with only a modest afternoon thunderstorm risk. This setup favors the market's leading 94–95°F bin at 54% implied probability, with 92–93°F as a close secondary outcome if cloud cover or convection increases. Typical late-summer Gulf moisture and heat indices above 100°F reinforce elevated readings, while historical September averages near 90°F provide context for the current above-normal pattern. No significant frontal passages or tropical influences are expected before resolution, keeping model spread narrow ahead of final observations.
