This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Istanbul Airport in degrees Celsius on 8 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LTFM To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models from sources including TimeandDate, BBC Weather, and AccuWeather indicate Istanbul’s August 8 maximum will likely fall in the 29–32°C range under persistent high pressure, clear skies, and light northerly winds that limit stronger warm advection.** This setup aligns with typical August climatology near 28–30°C, where the daily peak often occurs in the afternoon under full sun with low precipitation risk. The near-even split between the 28°C (36.5%) and 29°C (35.5%) outcomes reflects genuine uncertainty in ensemble guidance: small differences in cloud timing, boundary-layer mixing, or exact station measurement can shift the official high by 1°C. Stronger northerly flow or any late-day marine influence could cap the reading at or below 29°C, while a slightly warmer air mass or reduced wind would push it toward 30°C (currently 15.5%). Updated model runs and the final official observation from the primary Istanbul station will determine resolution within this narrow band.
