Official National Weather Service observations from San Francisco stations recorded a daily maximum of 66–67°F on September 19, 2026, aligning precisely with the market’s near-certain outcome. Persistent marine-layer stratus and onshore flow suppressed inland warming, holding coastal highs several degrees below the 1991–2020 normal of roughly 70–75°F and preventing the brief ridge-driven warming seen earlier in the month. With the date now past and preliminary climate summaries released, traders assigned essentially 100% probability to this bin because verified station data leave no realistic path to a different resolution. Minor upward revisions in final quality-controlled records remain possible but historically rare for this location and threshold.
