Persistent Pacific marine layer and lingering cloud cover from Saturday showers are capping solar heating over Seattle on August 30, with official NWS and model guidance converging on a daily maximum in the mid-60s to low 70s at Sea-Tac. Light southerly winds and a stable boundary layer further limit afternoon warming, keeping readings below the late-August climatological average near 75°F. The tight spread between 68–69°F and 70–71°F outcomes reflects uncertainty in the precise timing and extent of any partial clearing; modest additional insolation could push the peak toward the higher bin, while sustained overcast would favor the lower range. No significant model divergence or rapid pattern shift appears in the latest runs.
