Recent official observations and forecast models from agencies like INMET and international services positioned the overnight low in São Paulo near 15–16°C on September 18, driven by typical early-spring subtropical conditions with light easterly winds, high humidity, and partial cloud cover preventing stronger radiational cooling. No significant cold air advection or frontal passage occurred to push temperatures toward single digits, consistent with September climatology where minimums average around 12–14°C but recent patterns have trended milder. This consensus, reinforced by real-time station data showing the lowest readings clustered at 15–16°C, underpins the market’s strong 90% implied probability on 15°C while assigning minimal odds to colder or warmer outliers.
