The Odyssey leads the Best Cinematography market at 63% implied probability, driven by Christopher Nolan’s decision to shoot the entire film on IMAX cameras with Hoyte van Hoytema and its early Academy screenings generating strong praise for sweeping visuals and technical ambition. Recent July 2026 member screenings have amplified the narrative of Nolan extending his Oppenheimer craft momentum, with voters highlighting the epic’s immersive scale as a standout in a year still dominated by pre-release tracking. Dune: Part Three (8%) and The Adventures of Cliff Booth (9.5%) sit as the clearest challengers, the former thanks to Linus Sandgren’s shift to 70mm and IMAX film work ahead of its December release, while Project Hail Mary and several other 50% options reflect broader uncertainty as fall releases and guild precursors remain months away. Trader sentiment favors The Odyssey’s current visibility and historical precedent for visually ambitious Nolan projects, though late reviews or guild nods could still shift the field.
