The Richmond, BC mayoral race on October 17 remains fragmented, with trader probabilities clustered around 37-38% for leading contenders Kash Heed, Alexa Loo, Sheldon Starrett and others amid a large undecided bloc exceeding 45% in recent surveys. Heed holds a modest polling edge after entering as a sitting councillor with prior provincial experience, while Loo, Rob Howard, Henry Yao and additional candidates split support across community-focused platforms on infrastructure, flood protection, taxes and local services. Recent developments, including candidate forums, the night market closure debate and localized campaign messaging, have not yet consolidated the field or shifted the balance significantly. Further polling releases, endorsements or late voter mobilization around municipal priorities could widen gaps before election day.
