Recent model consensus from sources like the GFS and local meteorological services positions a daily maximum near 30–31°C for Panama City on September 25, aligning with the market’s heaviest weighting on those outcomes. In Panama’s tropical maritime climate during the peak rainy season, persistent moisture and cloud cover from the Intertropical Convergence Zone typically cap afternoon heating, while variable thunderstorm timing introduces modest upside risk for brief clearing that could push readings to 32°C. Official climatology shows September averages near 31°C, but current guidance indicates slightly suppressed insolation from expected showers, keeping the 33°C+ tail probability low. Traders are therefore pricing the narrow 30–32°C band most heavily, reflecting both historical precedent and the latest short-range forecast runs.
