Trader consensus in the Houston highest-temperature market centers on forecasts for sunny skies and light easterly winds on September 18 that favor peak readings in the mid-90s, with 94–95°F holding a slim edge in implied probability over 92–93°F. Recent National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model runs indicate clearing after scattered activity on the 17th, allowing stronger daytime heating under high pressure, though minor differences in boundary-layer moisture and exact timing of peak insolation keep the two leading bins closely matched. Historical September averages near 89°F provide context, but current conditions align with warmer recent analogs. Updated NHC and local forecast discussions expected overnight and early on the 18th will likely refine the final observed high before market resolution.
