**Persistent tropical moisture and scattered afternoon thunderstorms are the dominant factors capping Miami's high temperature on September 19, 2026, keeping market-implied odds concentrated on 86–89°F.** Official National Weather Service forecasts project upper-80s readings (around 87–88°F) under partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a 40–70% chance of showers and storms driven by an upper-level low and easterly flow. These conditions limit daytime heating compared to the late-September climatological average high near 89°F. Light variable winds and high humidity further moderate peaks, while any breaks in cloud cover or delayed convection could allow brief pushes toward 90°F. Traders appear to weigh the strong consensus around 87–88°F against the modest upside risk from variable storm timing, consistent with the closely matched leading probabilities.
