Official Meteorological Service Singapore guidance for the second half of September points to daily maximum temperatures of 33–34 °C on most days, with a chance of 35 °C on isolated occasions amid prevailing southwest monsoon flow and localized afternoon thundery showers. Recent first-half observations, including 12 days above 34 °C and a 35.3 °C peak on 9 September, establish a warmer baseline, yet increased shower activity expected through 18 September may limit peak heating by enhancing cloud cover and evaporative cooling. Historical September averages near 31.6 °C underscore the current elevated anomaly, while short-range models consistently indicate highs clustered around 32–33 °C for the 18th. Trader consensus favoring 33 °C reflects this narrow forecast envelope, with lower probabilities assigned to 34 °C or cooler outcomes pending the next official daily reading.
