Recent Met Office and ensemble model guidance indicate high pressure and light southerly flow will bring mostly sunny conditions to London on September 22, supporting maximum temperatures near 24–25 °C. These forecasts have driven the close market-implied odds between those two outcomes, with modest probability on 23 °C reflecting possible timing of any afternoon cloud or slight cooling from variable winds. Historical September maxima average around 19–20 °C, so the current warm anomaly stems from persistent anticyclonic setup rather than typical seasonal patterns. Updated model runs and official briefings over the next 48 hours will refine exact peak readings ahead of market resolution.
