Forecast models from the National Weather Service and others point to an overnight low in Atlanta on September 22 in the upper 60s to low 70s, with trader consensus centered on 68–73°F bins amid an approaching cold front. Persistent warmth from recent high-pressure dominance and dew points near 70°F has kept recent minima elevated, but northeast winds and increasing cloud cover ahead of Tuesday’s frontal passage should limit radiative cooling and produce scattered showers that further moderate temperatures. Historical September averages near 64°F underscore the current anomaly, yet model spread on exact frontal timing and boundary-layer moisture creates the close contest between 70–71°F and adjacent ranges. Final NWS updates and evening observations will resolve the market.
