Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta project an overnight low near 70–72°F on September 21 under a lingering warm, humid air mass with light winds and scattered thunderstorm chances that could limit radiational cooling. This setup creates genuine uncertainty around minimum temperatures, as clearer skies or stronger outflows might allow the reading to fall toward or below 65°F while persistent cloud cover or stalled fronts could keep it above 80°F. Historical September averages near 64°F provide context, yet current conditions remain several degrees above normal following a stretch of highs in the low 90s. Traders appear evenly split on these thresholds because model runs show modest spread in boundary-layer moisture and timing of any evening convection, with updated guidance expected from the Peachtree City office as the night progresses.
