Current National Weather Service and private model guidance for Atlanta on September 3 points to a sunny or mostly sunny day under high pressure with light southeast winds, supporting afternoon highs in the mid- to upper 90s. This aligns with the market’s leading 96-97°F bin at 47% implied probability, followed closely by 94-95°F and 98-99°F. The pattern reflects a warmer-than-average late-summer airmass, well above the 1991-2020 climatological high near 86°F, with minimal cloud cover or precipitation expected to limit daytime heating. Updated model runs through September 1 show little day-to-day variability in the thermal ridge, keeping odds concentrated on those three bins while lower-probability extremes remain discounted absent a forecast shift.
