Forecast models and official guidance from the Chengdu Meteorological Bureau point to a high-pressure system sustaining mostly sunny, dry conditions over the region through early September, supporting daily highs of 32–35°C on the 5th. This aligns with the typical early-month pattern under subtropical high influence before the onset of more frequent autumn rainfall later in the month. Ensemble runs show limited day-to-day variability and low precipitation probability, though small shifts in steering flow or cloud cover could trim peak values by 1–2°C. Historical September averages near 27°C provide context for the current warmth, with resolution hinging on the official maximum recorded at local stations.
