Traders assign the strongest odds to a Dallas high of 98-99°F on September 17 because the latest National Weather Service and NOAA model consensus places the maximum near 99°F under clear skies and light southerly flow. A secondary 25% implied probability for 100-101°F reflects residual uncertainty in afternoon boundary-layer heating and any slight model warm bias. Persistent upper-level ridging over the southern Plains has limited cloud cover and supported above-normal temperatures, consistent with mid-September climatology but amplified by recent dry conditions. The next model cycle and evening forecast update will refine these ranges before the daily maximum is recorded.
