Recent National Weather Service and private model consensus for Houston on September 11 points to a high in the low 90s, driving the market's heaviest weighting toward the 90-91°F bin. Abundant Gulf moisture, southeasterly flow, and afternoon sea-breeze convergence are expected to generate scattered thunderstorms that limit insolation and cap temperatures, while high humidity keeps heat indices above 100°F. Historical September climatology shows average highs near 90°F, with recent days already featuring similar 91-94°F readings under comparable conditions. Model spread remains modest, centered on 88-93°F outcomes, though the precise maximum will hinge on storm timing and coverage; any delay in convection could briefly push readings into the mid-90s before resolution.
