This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Station in degrees Celsius on 20 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eham If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Recent short-range forecasts position 19°C as the leading outcome for Amsterdam's highest temperature on September 20, 2026.** Multiple models, including ECMWF runs and local guidance from KNMI-aligned sources, indicate a mild westerly flow with maximum temperatures most likely reaching 18–20°C under variable cloud and scattered showers. This aligns closely with the September climatological average high of approximately 18.6°C at Schiphol, providing a stable baseline absent strong anomalies. Key drivers include an Atlantic ridge maintaining moderate maritime air masses without significant advection of warmer subtropical air or colder continental outbreaks. Forecast ensembles show limited spread, with afternoon peaks constrained by cloud cover and light precipitation reducing insolation. Recent model updates have not introduced major shifts, keeping the distribution centered near 19°C and explaining the market's heavy weighting toward that bin (54.5%) over 20°C (26.5%) or 18°C (14.5%). Traders appear to discount tails below 17°C or above 21°C given the absence of blocking patterns or rapid intensification signals in the latest guidance. Resolution will hinge on official KNMI observations for the meteorological day, with any last-minute model adjustments to steering flow or timing of showers representing the main variables that could nudge probabilities.
