Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for coastal Los Angeles on September 17 points to afternoon highs in the mid- to upper 70s under a typical marine layer that limits daytime warming despite seasonal solar input. Southwest winds near 9 mph and morning low clouds clearing by midday support this range, consistent with September climatology averaging near 76°F at Los Angeles International Airport. Trader consensus on the 74-77°F outcomes reflects the narrow spread across ensemble runs, with minimal risk of stronger offshore flow or clear-sky intensification that could push readings higher. Updated forecasts tomorrow morning will refine the exact peak before market resolution.
