Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Labor Day, September 7, 2026, points to a high in the low-to-mid 80s°F across much of the Los Angeles basin after Sunday’s onshore flow and showers clear. Partly cloudy skies and moderate west-southwest winds of 10–15 mph are expected to limit extreme heating while allowing temperatures to climb from morning lows near 70°F. This follows a cooler, unsettled period, with historical September 7 averages near 76–77°F providing context for the modest rebound. Ensemble forecasts show limited spread, keeping most runs below 88°F and well short of 90°F thresholds. Traders have therefore concentrated implied probability on the 82–85°F bins, reflecting the narrow window between typical marine-layer moderation and the warming trend signaled in the latest official updates.
