Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts position the highest temperature in San Francisco on September 5 near 68–71 °F, reflecting post-storm clearing after an early-September system that delivered cooler-than-normal readings and light rain mid-week. Persistent onshore flow and the marine layer are expected to moderate daytime highs close to the long-term September 5 average of 70 °F while preventing significant inland-style warming. Model consensus shows mostly sunny conditions with light westerly winds, though minor variations in cloud timing or exact marine intrusion could shift the daily maximum by a degree or two. Updated NWS guidance and observational data through September 4 will provide the final inputs before market resolution.
