Recent short-term forecasts from the Meteorological Service Singapore and global models indicate a high near 31–33°C for September 4 under prevailing southwest monsoon conditions, with mostly fair, occasionally windy weather and limited afternoon convection. This aligns with Singapore’s September climatology, where mean daily maxima reach 31.6°C and mean maxima hit 33.7°C, while record highs remain rare below 35°C. Light southeasterly winds, moderate humidity (50–85%), and minimal rainfall expected through the period reduce cooling from cloud cover or showers, supporting the market’s strong weighting toward 33°C. Updated model runs show little deviation from these values two days ahead, limiting upside risk for 34°C or higher.
