Current National Weather Service guidance and ensemble model consensus point to overnight lows in the upper 70s for Houston on September 20, supporting the market's leading 78-79°F bin at 29.5% implied probability. Light southeast winds, high humidity, and mostly clear to partly cloudy skies are expected to limit radiational cooling while the urban heat island effect sustains temperatures near the seasonal average for mid-September. Minor forecast spread arises from possible increases in cloud cover or subtle wind shifts that could nudge the minimum a degree or two lower or higher. Traders are monitoring the next NWS update and short-range model runs for any adjustments ahead of the 24-hour resolution window.
