Recent forecasts from the National Weather Service and models like those referenced by WeatherBug project a low near 62–63°F for Los Angeles on September 2 under mostly clear skies and moderate southwest onshore flow, consistent with the historical average of 64.7°F. Trader consensus remains evenly split across bins from the low 50s to low 70s because small differences in marine layer depth, timing of clearing, or radiational cooling under calm conditions can shift the overnight minimum by several degrees. Early September climatology favors lows in the low-to-mid 60s absent strong offshore winds, yet model spread on boundary-layer moisture keeps implied probabilities clustered near 50% for each range. Updated NWS guidance and next model runs ahead of the date will clarify whether conditions trend toward the record-low threshold near 55°F or hold closer to seasonal norms.
