National Weather Service forecasts for San Francisco on September 24 project overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 50s Fahrenheit, driven by persistent onshore flow from the Pacific and a compressed marine layer that moderates temperatures near the coast. Model consensus shows partly cloudy conditions with light west-to-southwest winds preventing significant radiational cooling, consistent with September climatology where average lows hover near 55–56°F. Recent observations from the prior 48 hours confirm stable high pressure and no incoming troughs or heat events to alter this pattern, supporting trader positioning around the 56–57°F bin as the implied probability leader while leaving room for minor forecast revisions from updated runs.
