Incumbent Democrat Greg Landsman holds a strong position in Ohio's 1st Congressional District ahead of the May 5 primaries, bolstered by recent upgrades from Cook Political Report and Sabato's Crystal Ball shifting the race from Toss-up to Lean Democratic last week, reflecting trader consensus at 76.5% for Democrats. The district's new post-redistricting map (PVI D+3) added rural Republican-leaning areas but favors Landsman, who won 54.6%-45.4% in 2024, amid a fragmented GOP primary featuring four candidates including Trump-endorsed Eric Conroy. Landsman's record fundraising and primary challenger Damon Lynch IV over foreign policy stances have not eroded his edge, with no public polling yet to alter the outlook.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
