Trader consensus favors the Democratic Party at 71% in Virginia's 6th congressional district House race due to a proposed Democratic-led redistricting map that redraws VA-06 into a more competitive, Democratic-leaning battleground by incorporating areas like Albemarle County, pending voter approval in the April 21 constitutional amendment referendum. Recent momentum stems from a March 17 poll showing former Rep. Tom Perriello leading author Beth Macy in the contested Democratic primary amid large undecideds and potential entry by Del. Sam Rasoul, bolstering expectations for a formidable nominee against incumbent Republican Ben Cline. Fundraising edges to Democrats, with primaries August 4 and the general November 3; map passage could solidify the shift, while rejection preserves GOP incumbency advantages.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
