Current National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts project a high of 96–97°F in Austin on September 18 under mostly sunny skies with light easterly winds and minimal cloud cover or moisture. This setup favors the market-leading 98–99°F bin (61% implied probability), as recent GFS and similar runs have held steady in the upper 90s without signals for stronger warming or cooling. Trader consensus aligns with these official outlooks, though the 13% odds on 100–101°F reflect residual uncertainty from potential afternoon heat-index adjustments or minor model shifts. Historical September averages near 90.5°F underscore the elevated baseline, with next NWS forecast updates likely to confirm resolution criteria by late today.
