Latest National Weather Service and model guidance for Houston on September 20 project sunny skies and highs in the mid-90s, aligning with the market's tight clustering around the 92–95°F bins. Above-average warmth stems from persistent high pressure promoting strong solar heating and light winds that limit mixing, with dew points near 70°F supporting heat indices above 100°F. Ensemble spreads and minor differences in peak timing or afternoon cloud development explain the near-even odds between the 92–93°F and 94–95°F outcomes, while historical September 20 averages near 88.5°F underscore the anomalous conditions. Updated model runs and official forecast revisions through the weekend remain key variables for final resolution.
