Latest National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble model guidance for New York City show a high near 80–81°F on September 18 under mostly sunny skies and northerly winds of 8–11 mph. This pattern reflects a cooler maritime air mass advecting southward behind a weak frontal passage, limiting daytime heating compared with the preceding southerly flow. Afternoon dew points near 60°F and modest cloud cover further cap peak temperatures, while historical September baselines for Central Park average highs around 77°F. Trader consensus, reflected in the tight clustering around 80–83°F bins, aligns with this stable short-range outlook, though small shifts in model timing of the wind shift or insolation could still adjust the final maximum by 1–2°F before resolution.
