This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 20 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zgsz If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus for Shenzhen on September 20 centers on a high near 32°C, with model and observational data supporting a narrow range of 31–33°C amid typical late-summer conditions.** Shenzhen’s subtropical monsoon climate produces September daily highs averaging ~31°C, driven by the lingering influence of the western Pacific subtropical high, southeasterly flow, and high humidity that limits nocturnal cooling. Current observations (September 18) show afternoon peaks of 32–34°C under mostly sunny skies with light easterly winds and dew points near 25°C, setting up similar thermodynamics for the weekend. Multiple official and ensemble forecasts for the 20th converge on 32°C (or 91–92°F), with partly cloudy to mostly sunny conditions and only isolated light rain or showers possible later in the day—enough to moderate peak heating but not enough to trigger widespread cooling. The close market split between 32°C (29.5%) and 33°C (25%) reflects genuine uncertainty in the precise timing and extent of cloud cover or any brief convective activity, which can suppress the daily maximum by 1–2°C. Stronger subsidence or clearer skies would favor the upper end, while earlier or more persistent moisture would anchor it near 31–32°C. No active tropical systems or significant frontal boundaries are expected in the northern South China Sea through the period, keeping variability low compared with peak typhoon season. Historical analogs and recent model runs (including GFS/ECMWF guidance) show limited spread, with resolution likely hinging on the next 24–48 hours of observational updates and afternoon sounding data. Traders weigh these short-term meteorological signals heavily given the market’s proximity to resolution.
