Incumbent Democratic Representative Shontel Brown secured renomination in the May 5, 2026, primary with roughly 85 percent of the vote in Ohio’s 11th congressional district, a reliably Democratic seat covering portions of Cuyahoga County including Cleveland. The Republican primary produced Mike Kirchner as nominee, yet forecasters rate the general election Solid or Safe Democratic based on the district’s consistent 70-plus-point margins in recent cycles and its demographic profile. With the November 3 general election still months away, trader consensus reflected in current pricing aligns with the absence of competitive polling data or major campaign developments that would shift expectations. A late-breaking scandal, health event, or extraordinary national political realignment could theoretically narrow the gap, though historical patterns and structural advantages for the incumbent make such outcomes remote.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
