Incumbent Republican William Timmons secured the party nomination in the June 9, 2026, primary with roughly two-thirds of the vote, facing Democrat Courtney McClain in the November general election. Nonpartisan race ratings classify the Upstate South Carolina district as solidly or safely Republican, consistent with its partisan voting index and prior results showing GOP margins above 20 points. Traders reflect this structural advantage in the current pricing, with limited recent developments or polling shifts altering the outlook ahead of the general election.
