**NDP holds a clear edge in the October 24 snap election after Premier David Eby dissolved the legislature on September 22 to exploit opposition turmoil.** Recent polling shows the NDP ahead of the Conservatives by roughly five points (41-36 percent in the latest surveys), with the Greens at around 12 percent and smaller parties trailing. The Conservative Party’s rapid leadership change—Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s resignation followed by interim leader Lorne Doerkson—and the partial reunification of defectors from CentreBC have left the main opposition still consolidating. Traders assign the NDP a 68.5 percent implied probability of winning the most seats, consistent with the party’s current polling lead, regional strength in Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island, and the short campaign timeline that limits the Conservatives’ ability to stabilize and close the gap before advance voting begins October 16. Minor parties and independents remain at negligible levels in both polls and market pricing.
