Clear skies and a stable high-pressure ridge over central Spain have positioned Madrid for a peak temperature near 32°C on September 21, 2026, aligning with AEMET forecasts of 18–32°C under light southerly flow and minimal cloud cover. These conditions maximize daytime insolation and limit evaporative cooling, pushing readings 6–7°C above the 1991–2020 average high of 25.3°C while remaining well below the September 21 record of 32.6°C. Multiple model runs show limited spread around 30–33°C, with no approaching fronts or increased humidity to suppress the daily maximum. Trader emphasis on 32°C and 33°C reflects this consensus from official guidance and recent observational trends of above-normal September warmth.
