Incumbent Democratic Representative Greg Stanton secured his party's nomination in the July 2026 primary by defeating challenger Kai Newkirk, positioning him for the November general election against Republican Zuhdi Jasser in Arizona's 4th district. The suburban Phoenix-area seat, covering Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler, has shown consistent Democratic support in recent cycles, reinforced by Stanton's prior victories and the broader midterm environment. Traders reflect this structural advantage through overwhelming consensus for the Democratic nominee. A shift in odds would require major developments such as a significant national political realignment, documented scandals affecting the incumbent, or unexpectedly strong Republican turnout and fundraising in the final months before Election Day.
