**Recent forecasts for Shanghai on September 6, 2026, consistently indicate a minimum temperature of 22–25°C, aligning with the market’s concentration of probability on 24–26°C outcomes.** Multiple meteorological sources project overnight lows near 23–24°C under partly cloudy skies with light northeast winds (around 8–14 km/h), moderate humidity (65–80%), and limited rainfall. These conditions support moderate nocturnal radiative cooling typical of Shanghai’s subtropical climate in early September, when daytime highs of 29–31°C give way to clearer nighttime heat loss without strong frontal systems or heavy cloud cover. Trader consensus, reflected in the 56% implied probability for 25°C and combined ~45% for 24–26°C, tracks this model agreement from sources using GFS and similar guidance. Slight upward weighting toward 25–26°C may incorporate uncertainty in exact cloud timing or urban heat-island effects, while lower probabilities for 23°C or below acknowledge the limited cooling potential absent stronger northerly flow or clearer skies. Upcoming model runs and official updates from agencies like the China Meteorological Administration will refine these short-term projections before resolution.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zspd
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
