With over 91% of precincts reporting in Peru's April 12-13 presidential election first round, National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) tallies place Jorge Nieto of the Party of Good Government solidly in fourth at 11.06% (1.71 million votes), trailing Keiko Fujimori (17.04%), Roberto Sánchez Palomino (12.07%), and Rafael López Aliaga (11.85%), but ahead of Ricardo Belmont (10.16%). Logistical delays extended voting and slowed counting, yet urban-heavy tallies have stabilized top-four positioning, aligning with exit polls showing a tight race now resolved in Nieto's favor. Trader consensus at 98.9% implied probability reflects this near-final order, as remaining rural votes are unlikely to reverse gaps exceeding 140,000 ballots; challenges would require substantiated fraud claims, recounts, or anomalous shifts prompting legal intervention before June 7 runoff.
