Incumbent Republican Maria Elvira Salazar seeks re-election in Florida’s 27th congressional district, which carries an R+6 partisan voting index and has supported Republican candidates by double-digit margins in recent cycles. Multiple nonpartisan ratings classify the race as Likely or Solid Republican, reflecting the district’s South Florida voter base and Salazar’s established fundraising edge. Democratic primary contenders, including Eliott Rodriguez and Robin Peguero, face an August 18 contest before the November 3 general election, with early polling showing Salazar ahead of potential nominees. These structural and incumbency factors underpin the current 70 percent Republican consensus among traders, though the outcome remains subject to primary results and any shifts in the broader 2026 midterm environment.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
