This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 17 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zuck If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Persistent cloud cover, widespread light-to-moderate rain, and high humidity are keeping diurnal temperature ranges narrow in Chongqing, supporting market-implied odds clustered around 19–21 °C for the September 17 minimum.** As of September 15, multiple forecast models (including runs from Yr, WeatherBug, and regional sources) show overnight lows near 18–22 °C under mostly cloudy skies and 60–90 % precipitation chances, with dew points in the upper teens Celsius. These conditions limit radiational cooling at night while suppressing daytime maxima, reducing the chance of either a sharp drop below 18 °C or a sustained warm minimum above 23 °C. Trader consensus around 20 °C (33 %) and 19 °C (24 %) reflects the narrow spread in current guidance, while the notable 25 °C+ share (33 %) likely prices in residual uncertainty from model divergence on rainfall timing and any brief clearing. Historical mid-September baselines for Chongqing (typical lows 20–22 °C) further anchor expectations, with recent rain patterns reinforcing the lower end of the range. Resolution will hinge on the final 24–48 hours of observational data and updated model runs from agencies such as the China Meteorological Administration, as even modest shifts in cloud cover or steering winds could alter the exact minimum by 1–2 °C.
